SEMESTER 2!

yes, i've just started semester 2 of my college and so far so good.. this semester my schedule will be pack on monday (only) and tuesday until thursday will be oh-so relaxing (compared to semester 1).. and guess what? i'm not having any classes on friday AGAIN!! woo-hoo!! love SBS (school of business studies) xD .. so far for the first week, SBS is only having lectures, english and bm classes.. lectures are okay..

surprisingly i get to pay my full attention to Fundamentals of Accounting lectures yesterday (i usually falls asleep the moment Mr Soo starts talking last semester >< )..

Quantitative Studies wasn't bad either.. it's more of statistics & mathematics kind of thing so it's kind of my profession (aiseh xD)..

Business Information Systems & Applications (BISA) is baaaad!! i hate IT thingy.. and last semester i've already half dead memorising the terms and understanding their functions and stuffs.. last semester was the "younger brother" which we called it Business Information Technology & Applications (BITA).. sweat, right? lol..

next is Macroeconomics.. i was really looking forward to it.. unfortunately, maybe i did not get enough sleep on tuesday night (class is on wednesday), i went all drowsy the moment my lecture starts talking, and i fell asleep.. another thing that is bad, is that i sat right in front of the lecture hall!! goodness >< so embarrassing..

Bahasa Malaysia Lanjutan is compulsory this semester (last semester we were exempted from BM for those who passed in their SPM).. unless if you're a STPM graduate then u can exempt this paper this semester.. grrr!! anyway, our tutor wasn't bad.. she looked fierce on first impression, however she's a real joker.. lol!

lastly is English For Communications.. yup, basically it's english, but it focuses more on communications.. this semester we're SO SO SO LUCKY not to have Mr Ramesh again as he's a pain in the ass, i tell you.. everyday sure ask, "shirlyn, do you have any questions?.. shirlyn, what do you think?... shirlyn, this... shirlyn, that..." GAAAAH!!! anyway, this semester we have a chinese tutor, Mr Gary Seach (pronounced as "seah"), a very mervin-lookalike guy, but much older.. FYI, mervin is my hostel friend who lives in Subang Jaya (or USJ, i not sure which) and he's very english-educated and anti pure chinese-educated.. so, you know lah english educated people punya english macam mana.. Mr Gary also like that but at least he knows some mandarin and canto..

so that's all for my this semester syllabus which i'll be learning for 4 months... T.T

AGNES CHAN - HAPPINESS IS RIGHT HERE

Agnes Chan, a non-member, is a well known singer in Japan and a UNICEF goodwill ambassador. Her first encounter with Sensei (Soka Gakkai International 3rd President, Daisaku Ikeda @ Ikeda Sensei) was 34 years ago at the age of 18, when she first went to Japan to release her first album. At that time, she was filled with uncertainties in the future of a new life in Japan, both as a singer and as a first year university student. Sensei encouraged her, saying: "Study is your most important task! And then sing for the sake of people's happiness. Songs and music can bring people together. Please also take care of your health!"


In 2006, she was invited to attend the opening of the "Building A Culture of Peace for the Children of the World" exhibition held at the International Women Centre. Deeply touched by the welcome song "Mother" presented by the women division's Choir, she wrote to Sensei on her resolve to sing "songs of peace" for all people.


Sensei responded immediately by presenting her with a long poem around mid November. Immensely moved, she completed the music in one breath.


However, immediately after that, she had to go through an operation to remove a benign tumour from her salivary glands. The recording was done after the operation when she was still having a slant to her mouth when she talked and smiled. But she sung with the feeling as if her life has been transformed. The song titled "Happiness Is Right Here" gave her hope and encouraged her to be positive and she wanted to send this message to all others.


In August 2007, she released the second song based on President Ikeda's poem "Peaceful World". But in September, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. As it was still in the early stage, she overcame it after going through a successful operation. And in October, she held a concert at the Great Hall of the People in China, during which she sang these songs written by President Ikeda. She shared, "Ikeda Sensei has always exerted himself in working for peace. Sensei's action is the power and driving force for people throughout the world. There are important messages in these poems he wrote for me. They are filled with the messages of the misery that war brings, and the importance of peace."

BORED~!

SIGH!! this is what happens when i'm on holidays, and have no where else to go other than home:

1. i sleep until late afternoon (3-4pm)
2. always feeling hungry as i've skipped my breakfast
3. there's nothing to eat when i wake up
4. online whole day
5. will not feel like eating dinner and therefore, skips dinner
6. online again
7. whack a lot of food as supper
8. online again until late night
9. sleeps in the early morning (2-3am)
10. the next day, same routine

gosh! no wonder some of my friends, and even my family says i'm getting thinner.. because there's nothing to eat!! hmm, sad.. guess i better ask mom to get some bread and peanut butter tonight *ngek ngek* (ps. there's still someone who will say i'm fat ^^ )

besides, the weather is so goddamn hot!! i've been sweating like mad since the day i came back to klang @ 19th september 08..

so many things happened to the people i know these few days.. my roomie, cheryl, who lives in kuala selangor, told me her new house got broken-in on sunday.. and yesterday, my bro told me my grandparents' house got break-in!! lucky thing no one got hurt as both my grandparents were out that time.. but the bloody thieves took their money and passports, IC and other important documents!! bloody shit, man.. why can't these robbers, thieves and rapists just die??!! shish~!
